- How do I choose a tutor? Start by filling out your profile. Once that’s done, Chronus will show you a list of tutors who match your preferences—based on subjects, availability, and format (online or in-person). You can then request a tutor to get started.
- How long are sessions? Most tutoring sessions last about 1 hour, but the length is up to you and your tutor to decide.
- What should I bring to my tutoring session? Come prepared. Bring the assignment, topic, or concept you need help with. Tutoring works best when you know what you want support with.
- What if I can’t make it? Please let your tutor know as early as possible. Try not to cancel at the last minute—our tutors are volunteers who are giving their time to support you. Missed or rescheduled sessions can cause the tutor to pause or leave the program.
- Can I stop working with a tutor? Yes. If the connection isn’t a good fit or you no longer need support, you can end the match at any time. Just complete the short exit ticket so we can learn from your experience and support you with another tutor, if needed.
- How will I get reminders? You’ll receive session notifications by email. To make things easier, download the Chronus app on your phone—it will send push notifications and make it easier to message your tutor.
